This kit says it works for my air conditioner, but it's not listed in the list of models that it works for, so i'm a little concerned. Also, will i be able to replace this piece on my own, or will i need to hire someone to do it for me? thanks!

Hi Lisi, thank you for your question. Any parts that you find listed directly underneath your model number will work for that model number. Looking at the model number your provided this part is listed as the correct part underneath of it. That would depend on what you are comfortable with. This part will require some wiring installation. However that is just a matter of unscrewing the screws that hold in the terminals and then screwing them back in. Good luck with your repair.
