Serial # mg800120c. Replacing the latch switch help me. The dishwasher stops in mid Cycle multiple times I have to push on door and the dishwasher start again and a few minutes later I have to push on the door again. Does this right around the 59 minute mark and once past it will finish the cycle without a push on the door. At first thought the dishwasher was overloaded or too heavy of dishes is it possible the door is bent or faulty door latch switch
Thank you for your time

About 2 weeks ago my dishwasher stopped before completing the whole cycle. It would go through the wash but then stop. The blue indicator light went out and the wash water did not drain. I was able to drain the water by starting a new cycle and then stopping it when I heard the water drain out. Two days ago I started another cycle, same thing happened but now nothing happens when I press the start button. I noticed that the screw holding the latch assembly in place is very loose and I can't tighten it. Could a defective latch assembly be my problem or is it likely something else?

Hi Les,
Thank you for your question. If your dishwasher stops mid-cycle, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the door latch and switches, the electronic control board, the control panel, the heating element, and the vent assembly. Some of these parts have been discontinued and if you need them, you will need to contact GE for information on replacements. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
