Left front burner not working hot surface light stayed on
Shut off power at breaker panel Took screws out of front of range top lifted it up propped open unplugged wires took off two clips holding burner in place hardest part of job checked wire colors to right places put clips back on pulled out light right next to burner replaced put top down replaced 3 screws turned peer back on hood to go

The largest burner (wb30t10133) keeps on and off very often while it does not reach its desired temperature. Meanwhile, the light indicator is always on.

Light indicating top is hot stays on ....never goes off.

Thank you for the great question. A indicator light that stays on usually means you have a defective switch. If you replace the switch for the burner that was being used when the issues began this should fix the issue.

The red "hot cooktop indicator light" on our GE glass cooktop is no longer working. The burners heat fine, but the red light we'd normally see when using a burner or as they are cooling down never comes on. Is this a difficult repair? Do you have an instructions/video for doing so. Thanks, mike

Hello Mike, thank you for your question. This is not a difficult repair. Once the unit is unplugged and pulled from its spot, the back panel can be removed and the indicator light should be accessible. If the light is not coming on at all we would recommend testing the light first before replacing as sometimes the issue is with the switch that controls it, not the light. I hope this helps!

There is a warning light at the front of the stove indicating that the glass stove top is still hot - it doesn't go off - does the part need replacement
