Got this new in 2017. Was working great till we had a power surge. Could be coincidence, but after that it wasn’t freezing anymore. Unplugged for a few weeks. Just turned back on last week and it went down as low as -15. We were so happy not to replace. Now over the last few days, it’s very irregular ranging from 29 to 9 degrees. Stayed around 21 for days. Not sure if it’s worth paying someone to look at? Freezers are so expensive!!

My freezer was ice packed after my wife left door open. I defrosted and checked heater element and it measured 37ohms. I put it back together and selected fast freeze. I cannot get it to stay on a normal temperature setting. Within minutes it goes back to fast freeze. This has been going on for 5 days now. What do you think?
For model number WZF34X16DW01

Hello Jim, Thank you for the question. When the door was open it could have overloaded the Temperature Sensor. At 70 degrees the resistance should be 9.3K ohms, 90 degrees would be 7.7K ohms. at 100 degrees would be 6.2K ohms, and 120 degrees would be 4.3K ohms. If the thermistor reads outside of range then it needs replaced. We hope this helps!

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

Both outside door handles turned very beige
Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discoloring refer handles. Thank you
