Washer will not start, but if you unplug it for a short time and it will run once you plug it back in. Also if you push the fabric softner button it will not work.

Washer is not spinning all the water out of the clothes. Throws the code sd more than half way through the cycle
For model number WTW8800YC0

Hello Toni and thanks for writing. Sud" or "Sd" in display of your Whirlpool Washer This could be caused by using too much detergent or not using High Efficiency (HE) detergent. The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds. When "Sud" or "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

The washer was making a horrible noise during the spin cycle
Removed a cap in the center of the tub basket which has a bolt that needs removed I believe it's a 9/16 after I removed the bolt I then removed the center of the bottom of the basket assembly which then allowed me to get to the basket hub that needed replaced it was a little dirty and I couldn't get it out so I sprayed a little penitrating oil on it let it sit a little then I was able to remove the hub and install the new one then I put it all back together and the washer is working great

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
