My Whirlpool washing machine is dripping water into where I put my clothes to wash. Which part is that?
For model number WTW8540BW1

Hello Damian, Thank you for the question. This is normally caused by a defective Water Inlet valve that is stuck open and allowing water to flow through to the Tub. The Valve will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

My whirlpool cabrio started leaking water at some point during use… I just love this washer and dryer and wonder if it’s worth fixing? Thank you!

Hello Judi, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, we would recommend checking the drain hose for any damage. If the drain hose is fine, then the issue is most probably with the drain pump, part number PS11754363. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this helps!

What does Sd means on my whirlpool washer
For model number WTW8540BW1
PartSelect logo
Hi Jackie, thank you for reaching out. If Sd or Sud appear in the display, you have excessive suds in the washer. The washer is running a suds reduction routine. Allow the washer to continue. Use only high efficiency detergent. Always measure detergent and base detergent quantity on load size. We hope this information is useful!

My Whirlpool cabrio platinum washer makes a horrible squeaking sound when agitating and spinning. It gives the ul error when the washer is not unlevel. It's a continuous error during the spin and rinse and when you move the clothes to restart the cycle, it continues. It's like the agitator is unlevel all the time
For model number WTW8540BW1

Hello Elizabeth, thank you for your inquiry. Our recommendation for your model number is Suspension Rod Kit - Set of 4 part PS3502193. The suspension rods are used to keep the drum assembly upright. The rods attached to the four corners on top of the cabinet to the base of the drum. When a rod breaks, the drum will be tilted which will cause the drum to be loud during different cycles. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.

The washer was making a horrible noise during the spin cycle
Removed a cap in the center of the tub basket which has a bolt that needs removed I believe it's a 9/16 after I removed the bolt I then removed the center of the bottom of the basket assembly which then allowed me to get to the basket hub that needed replaced it was a little dirty and I couldn't get it out so I sprayed a little penitrating oil on it let it sit a little then I was able to remove the hub and install the new one then I put it all back together and the washer is working great

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
