Does the water inlet valve fix the issue of the washer only washing with hot water? If not what other part would it be? I am having an issue where the washer is only washing with hot water even when the setting is set to cold
For model number WTW8000BW0
PartSelect logo
Hello Aaron, thank you for your question! This can happen if the hot water line is mistakenly connected to the cold water inlet on the washer, and vice versa. Double-check the water supply connections to ensure they are properly aligned with the designated inlet valves. If this is not the issue, the problem could be with the faulty water inlet valve, part number PS11731257. We hope this information is useful!

How do you open the top panel from the cabinet to replace the basket seal and bearings?
For model number WTW8000BW0
PartSelect logo
Hello Bill and thank you for writing. Unplug the machine. If there is a fault with any aspect of your washing machine and you are going to get inside the machine, then there is no reason to risk the possibility of an electrical shock. The machine may have to be pulled away from the wall slightly to remove the wall plug. Lift up the door of your top-loading machine. Look on the right side of the door opening where the door would be if it were closed. Here you should find two Phillips screws. Remove them and set them aside in a safe place. On a few models of top-loading machines, the two Phillips screws holding the top in place will be on the left side where the door would be when it is closed. Lift up on the front edge of the top of the machine. It may be sticky, but with a little effort the front of the top of the machine should lift up, like a clamshell. Lift it until it stays up by itself or until a small metal pole becomes visible which will hold the top up and out of the way. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer. I try to wash, the water came on and stop. Try to start wash and a flashing F light came and the machine will not wash.
For model number WTW8000BW0
PartSelect logo
hello Rediat, Thank you for the question. The F code indicates a door lock error on the machine. When the door fails to lock to allow the cycle to begin, it attempts to lock itself at least six times before the error appears on the digital display screen. Normally the Lid Lock, PartSelect Number PS11756782 will need to be replaced. We hope this helps.

The washer was making a horrible noise during the spin cycle
Removed a cap in the center of the tub basket which has a bolt that needs removed I believe it's a 9/16 after I removed the bolt I then removed the center of the bottom of the basket assembly which then allowed me to get to the basket hub that needed replaced it was a little dirty and I couldn't get it out so I sprayed a little penitrating oil on it let it sit a little then I was able to remove the hub and install the new one then I put it all back together and the washer is working great

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

Washer would vibrate and bang viciously in the spin cycles
Remove agitator and replace hub. I also recommend replacing the Suspension too. I could tell the hub was bad the piece of metal washer on the bottom was gone. The suspension lost a lot of its stiffing
