No lights inside freezer or refrigerator working help!
For model number WRX986SIHV00
Hello Gary, Thank you for the question. If all of the light went out ta once, you may need to test the wiring circuit the LED Light Modules are connected to. They all run on the same circuit. You will also need to test each Module. If one is defective it can effect all the light. We hope this helps.
the lights in the freezer and top of the fridge flickered for a while and now are not working however there is a dim small light still lit in each light component. The lights on the side are still working. What is the best way to identify and resolve the problem. Also, the ice in the ice maker started thawing and now the ice maker itself is not making ice. Not sure if the two issues are related in any way.

Hello Lisa, thank you for your questions. For the light issue, our recommendation is to replace the 3 LED Light Module and Harness PS12578776. We do not believe the two events are related. The Replacement Ice Maker is part PS12704559. We hope this helps.
the overhead light stop coming on in refrigerator. The side lights come on when doors are open.

Hi Jay, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the issue is probably with the light module and harness assembly, part number PS12578776, and you may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope that helps!
Water and ice buildup under crisper tray. Drain tray under fridge is dry. Fridge seems a couple degrees warmer than setting on panel.
I saw YouTube video for slightly older Samsung fridge that had a kit which was a longer aluminum heat sink tab for the defrost heater element that extended down drain tray hole. Kit also included new temp sensor. Is that same problem with this fridge? Frozen drain? Or just clogged? Drain tube under fridge is near impossible to pull off because thin copper tubes are in the way. Access is a bear.
For model number WRX986SIHV00
Hi Harold, thank you for your inquiry. Your refrigerator appears to have a clogged defrost drain tube with ice or gunk, and the water is not draining down the tube. Instead, it collects in a puddle under the crisper drawers. Clearing the drain tube usually fixes the problem. Water leaking from the water filter and water tube can also wind up under the crisper drawers, so check the water tube, part number PS11772432, for leaks and replace any damaged tube. We hope that helps!
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
Purchased new motor from Partselect.com. When it arrived it came with a new rubber washer that fitted on top of new motor that was not on old motor, that how water got into old motor. However, the instruction sheet did not give info on how to access the proper way to the motor that is the door. Not wanting to damage the freezer door assy. called in a tech who made it look easy, but even he had a little problem locating access panel that was directly under the motor in the freezer side of the door. After that it was a piece of cake.
I used a flat screwdriver and released the lock tab on the bottom of the light switch, and pried the switch out, being careful to not damage the plastic around the mounting place of the switch, unplugged wiring from old switch, plugged in the new one and pushed the new switch into place. Job finished light switch now working.
