We have a 6 month old refrigerator. It works well except for one thing. We have frost building up on the top of the middle of the freezer door. The gasket looks good, and I don't feel any cold air coming out. The freezer seems to be running fine. I need to clean the frost out about once a week. Any ideas why?Tony

Hi Tony, even if your gasket looks good I would try and clean it, wiping it down with soapy water. This is caused by to much warm air coming in. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

FRIDGE NOT COOLING
For model number WRT518SZFM00
PartSelect logo
Hello Kay, thank you for getting in touch. We would suggest checking the thermistor, part number PS2580944. It senses the temperature inside the fridge and sends information to the electronic control. If faulty, it may cause the temperature in the fridge compartment to fluctuate. Testing the thermistor for continuity using a multimeter might help. Good luck with the repair!

Evaporator Fan failure
The reason I repaired it myself was because the repairman that diagnosed the problem.didn't come back in two weeks. The evaporator fan sits behind a vented wall in the freezer and directs cold air into freezer and refrigerator.I removed the ice make assembly first and then the freezer wall held in place by two sheet metal nuts. Then removed wires from fan motor. Removed the fan blade from fan motor, which was press fitted on,then removed fan motor from bracket assembly(make sure and retain the two vibration rubber washers on back and front of motor. Reinstall new motor with vibration washers and press fan blade on new motor. Install in bracket assemble and reassemnble.

Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
