Hello Don, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the Air Diffuser PartSelect Number PS11731574 and Duct PartSelect Number PS11770119 for a blockage that is preventing the air to flow through tot he Fresh Food Section. At times that can be frozen over and may need to be defrosted. Hope this helps!

Hi Jeffrey, thank you for your question. You would order a new handle, out of the list you would just select the appropriate color that you need. It is part 3 in your door parts diagram. Good luck with your repair.

The evaporator is frosted up. The evaporator fan motor runs. How do i initiate a defrost cycle? Is there a bimetal defrost thermostat attached to the evaporator coil?

Hello Jim,
Thank you for your question. The temperature sensor under part PS11753994 for your model would be the closest part to the defrost thermostat for your model. We hope this helps!
We are missing a screw for our fridge handle. Can you help identify the type of screw required? It is the side screw located near the bottom of the fridge door handle.

Hello Sandra, Thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model you have provided and have found the part you are looking for is a Set Screw and is only sold with the Handle. We hope this helps!
My fridge was running warm, changed main control board, now is running too cold, some produce freezing. Ordered a thermistor but cant figure out how to install. Tried to remove air diffuser cover by taking out long screw but won't come off. Is this where the thermistor is located and if so, how does this cover come off? Or, is the thermistor located elsewhere in this model?

Hi Don,
Thank you for your question. The thermistor is located in the fresh food section of your refrigerator behind the back plastic cover. To remove the back panel, unthread the 2 screws securing it. Disconnect the old thermistor and plug in the new one. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck let's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!
The reason I repaired it myself was because the repairman that diagnosed the problem.didn't come back in two weeks. The evaporator fan sits behind a vented wall in the freezer and directs cold air into freezer and refrigerator.I removed the ice make assembly first and then the freezer wall held in place by two sheet metal nuts. Then removed wires from fan motor. Removed the fan blade from fan motor, which was press fitted on,then removed fan motor from bracket assembly(make sure and retain the two vibration rubber washers on back and front of motor. Reinstall new motor with vibration washers and press fan blade on new motor. Install in bracket assemble and reassemnble.
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
