My ice maker is not releasing the ice what can i do to fix this
For model number WRS321SDHW05
PartSelect logo
Hello Jan, One of the most common causes of an ice maker that won’t dispense ice is that an ice clump has formed inside. While the auger is designed to unstick these ice cubes from each other, if you aren’t using your ice maker very often, the auger won’t turn on. Over time, this forms into a chunk of ice. Try breaking up the ice chunk with your hands. If that wont work you will need to defrost the ice maker. If you press the lever on your ice dispenser, but it doesn’t make any noise, then it is most likely a problem with the motor responsible for turning the auger. Part number PS12711448. It could also be that the Ice Bin Auger Drum has worn out part number PS372186. We hope this helps!

The bottom crisper drawer has broken all the way down the right side. I have tried to superglue it together with no success. Is there a replacement drawer available? The part number is W10905530 M4 1. I appreciate your help in this matter. Thanks, Stephanie

Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.

plastic Ice bin auger broke and needed to be replaced
The repair was actually easy; however I have an ice dispencer/crusher attached and the which the diagram supplied with the part did not include. I had to make several calls before I was e-mailed the diagram.
Suggestions: note that the screw at the end of the auger goes in the reverse direction (this took me about 20 minutes to figure out even though it was shown in the diagram). Also, be sure to keep the ice crusher parts in order and be sure the white plastic tab on the crusher fits into a depression in the housing. I did not notice this and had to take it all apart and redo the install. It works great!!!
