freezer light does not come on,. the door switch works for the water and ice controls and the water dispenser but the inside light will not come on. Is it the light itself that's the problem or could it still be the door switch?

Hello Jerry, thank you for your question! To replace the upper light in the freezer compartment, follow the following steps:
1. Gently squeeze the front and the bottom-rear edges of the light shield to release the tabs from the wall slots; then pull the light shield forward.
2. If the burned-out light is a full-size LED bulb, replace it with a 3.6 W LED bulb.
3. If the burned-out light is an incandescent bulb, replace it with an incandescent appliance bulb of the same size, shape, and wattage (40 W maximum).
4. Align the light shield in its proper position and snap the tabs into the wall slots.
To replace the lower light in the freezer compartment, follow the following steps:
1. Slide the light shield to the left to remove the right end from the wall slots, then pull the left end out of its wall slots.
2. If the burned-out light is a full-size LED bulb, replace it with a 3.6 W LED bulb.
3. If the burned-out light is an incandescent bulb, replace it with an incandescent appliance bulb of the same size, shape, and wattage (40 W maximum).
4. Place the left end of the light shield into the wall slots, then snap the right end into its wall slots.
We hope this information helps!

I've replaced the entire ice maker assembly and water valve. The water line from the water valve to ice maker is open. Unplugged the refrigerator for 5 minutes to reset the system. Water flowed into the icemaker and froze but does not eject into the bin. What am i missing?
For model number WRS315SDHZ05
Hi Bret,
Thank you for your question. If ice is not ejecting from the ice maker, check and see if an ice cube is jammed on the ice mold. If it is remove it. If the ice bin is full, the ice maker will not dump ice. If this is the issue, try leveling the ice to see if the ice maker will eject it. If the freezer is not set to the proper temperature, then it may not be cold enough for ice cube production. If it is too warm or cold, set the freezer to the correct temperature. If the ice maker has experienced an error it may not work correctly and you will need to reset the refrigerator by unplugging it for approximately 10 minutes. If you have just installed the new ice maker, please allow 24 hours for it to start working correctly. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

Hello Sue, Thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model you have provided and have found the Stainless Steel handle is Manufacturer Part Number W11289640. We are sorry, we looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued. There are no part substitutions listed. I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
The repair was actually easy; however I have an ice dispencer/crusher attached and the which the diagram supplied with the part did not include. I had to make several calls before I was e-mailed the diagram. Suggestions: note that the screw at the end of the auger goes in the reverse direction (this took me about 20 minutes to figure out even though it was shown in the diagram). Also, be sure to keep the ice crusher parts in order and be sure the white plastic tab on the crusher fits into a depression in the housing. I did not notice this and had to take it all apart and redo the install. It works great!!!
