A PF (Power Failure) error code indicates that the drying cycle has been interrupted by a power failure. Touch and hold START to restart the dryer cycle or press POWER to clear the display. -During a power outage, if there was an unexpected amount of power supply line "noise" that the control detected as an incorrect voltage amount, the control could display the PF Error Code. Also, if any keys were pressed before the 10 second delay interval on power up, this could cause the PF Error Code to appear. -If your dryer was installed recently (within approximately 3 months), contact a qualified electrician to verify the electrical supply.

Thanks for responding but not answering my question. You requested both the washer and dryer part and serial numbers. The model number for the washer is wfw8400tw03 and serial number hly3501930. The model number for the dryer wed8300sw2 and serial number my3579751. For the 3rd time, the question is the same. A pf error occurs during the following cycles heavy-duty and sanitary for the washer. Push cancel and the washer drains. The problem occurs again every time during the heavy-duty and sanitary cycles. Lights in the house do not dim or flash. What is the minimum voltage that the pf error occurs? This must be a control board problem for the washer. Do not understand why you are asking for the model number and serial number for the dryer since the problem is with the washer.

Hello and thank you for writing. PF error occurs if the voltage is less than 93 Volts AC. We do ask for the model and serial numbers as our system find information based on these numbers. It is possible that our system showed the unit initially as a combo unit, that would explain why we asked for both model and serial numbers. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Ok, you answered the question on what supply voltage the pf error would occur. Thank you. Since it does not seem possible that the supply voltage ever was anywhere near 93 volts since the lights did not dim or flicker then the only conclusion must be a fault in the control board. Please confirm or indicate some other reason. Please provide how to replace the control board instructions and its cost. In addition provide names of local contractors in williamsburg va. Who could make repair.

Hello and thank you for writing. There are 2 control boards in your unit that could cause the issue. Control board PS11746709 and control board PS11755958, you would have to test both boards to establish which on is faulty, you could check for burn marks due to a short. Regretfully we do not have a list of contractors for your area. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Water leak from bottom of door.
I discovered water leaking from the bottom of the door on our Kenmore front load washer. I did a little self diagnosis from the internet and found that this seems to be a common problem for front load Kenmore washers and that the ususal suspect is the large rubbery bellows. I examined the bellows on my washer and although I didn't find anything wrong with it, I couldn't find any other likely causes. I shopped around and found PartSelect to be the cheapest for the replacement part. Removal is easy by removing the lower front panel with three small screws on the bottom front, then remove the very top panel and then the top front control panel and finally the door panel. the bellows are actually held in place with a spring loop on the outer and a screw tightener on the inner, both are fairly easy to remove and the bellows comes right off. For installation my best advice is to lube the bellows with a small amount of dishwashing soap in the groove that fits on the washer tub. This will help it slide into place and enables a small amount of sliding fine tuning once it is on. From there it is just a reverse of the removal.

water pump failed
Pump started making noises like ball bearings grinding. took the lower front cover off pulled the strainer out of the pump housing and found $2.55 in nickles dimes and quarters. Some 223 bullets and about 20 bobby pins. Together they had destroyed the impeller, so ordering a new one and installing it did the trick. Easy installation about 15mins.
