Heat dry not working and white residue left on dishes
For model number WDP340PAFB0
Hi Patricja,
Thank you for your question. If your dishwasher is not drying dishes, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the heating element, the high limit thermostat and the filter. If you are seeing a white residue on your dishes, this may be caused by hard water or if you are using a phosphate free detergent. Make sure before you use the dishwasher that the water is nice and hot, so when the dishwasher is in use, the detergent can dissolve. Also, use a rinse aid as this will help to remove any film that would buildup on your dishes.
We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
unscrewed dishwasher from cabinet ...,moved out slightly....while door closed ...reached with long nosed pliers door spring pulled forward...and allowing white plastic part that fits through sleeve and fit new sleeve over it...pulled spring attaching white plastic part and pushed unit back to cabinet and replaced screws DONE.
My filters had completely clogged up and had not cleaned my filters at all which was a no-no.I had lots of food left on the dishes after running my dishwasher, so I took bothp filters out and replaced them no tools required. I won’t be using powdered or liquid detergent for my dishwasher anymore only pods and promise to clean my filters once a month, so hopefully that’ll help keep them clean. Very easy replacement even for an old woman.
