I need to plug my she3ar72uc dishwasher into a wall outlet, not hardwire it. The cord sold for this purpose is too short. Are longer cords available or do i need to get the installer to attach a three-prong plug to the electrical cable supplied with the dishwasher?
For model number SHE3AR72UC
Hi Kathleen. Sadly there is not a longer cord for this model .Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.

We let this go for a shameful amount of time before I decided I could probably fix it. The roller broke so you could only pull it out about halfway or it would come off the track. I looked up the part, and bought it. Actually bought two in case it happened again. When I arrived I looked at how it was put together on the other side and then just basically pushed it onto the rod and it was fixed. I am ashamed it took so long to do it. Never be afraid to try it yourself. It was a total of $10 shipped to fix it.
disconnected inlet hose and water line from sink, removed old inlet valve and installed new valve and reconnected inlet hose and water line from sink - checked for leaks.
This was the third time I replaced a fill valve in a Bosch diswasher, twice in this unit and once in a previous unit. I read the installation hints on your web site and want to add the following suggestion.
The notes on your web site say you can remove the valve from behind the toe face and pull it out to reach the hose and plug. I found that the Bosch designers called for both the hose and wire to on the short side. I found that pulling the dishwasher forward 6" to 9" allows you to access these connections from the side at least to hold them while making the connection. I hope this helps. Thank you, Bill
