Just brought out my mower batteries are charged but mower won’t start
For model number RY401014US

Hello Stephen, thank you for contacting us. Based on common issues with the mower, it usually refuses to start when a fully charged battery is used because of a safety interlock issue or a poor connection, not a failure of the battery itself. Fold the handle down completely, then raise it back up and lock the knobs on both sides firmly. Ensure the handle is fully extended; it often creeps down during storage, breaking the circuit. Remove the red safety key from the deck, check for debris in the slot, and reinsert it, pushing firmly to ensure it clicks into place. Remove the batteries, clean the contacts with a dry rag, and re-seat them until you hear a solid click. Check the blade for obstruction. If the blade is jammed with dried grass from last season, it will not start. Glad to be of assistance!
