System stopped making ice water flow is slow to fill up the pitcher? What could be the problem.
Also where is the water filter located to change ?
Also I purchased this at lows. When I close the deft six door the long hinge that connects the two doors does not close. It doesn’t reach the top of the door to allow it to close. Is this a defect ?
For model number RF30BB660012AA
Hi Drew, thank you for reaching out. Ensure that the water inlet valve is working properly. If it is fine, the issue could be with the water filter, part number PS17537652. It is located inside the lower side of the fresh food section between the crisper drawers. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. The door closing issue is generally not a manufacturer defect but rather a standard alignment issue caused by the weight of the door panels shifting during shipping or daily use. Open the doors fully to take pressure off the system. Use a screwdriver to tightly secure every screw on the top hinges. We hope this sorts out your problem!
This is the Samsung French door refrigerator style that so many people have complained about freezing up and not cooling the top section. I first changed out the defrost thermostat and this did not correct the problem. I done a quick resistance check on the temp sensor that's mounted on the evaporator itself. The resistance would change when holding an ice cube on the sensor so I just assumed it was ok. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.
OPENED THE LEFT SIDE REFRIGERATOR DOOR WHERE THE DEFECTIVE MECHANISM WAS. GOT UP ON THE FIRST STEP OF THE STEP STOOL,REMOVED THE PHILLIPS HEAD RETAINING SCREW FROM THE BROKEN PART.PUT THE NEW CLOSING MECHANISM IN PLACE AND RE-INSTALLED THE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREW. STEPPED DOWN FROM THE STEP STOOL AND SHUT THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR.
I didn't do the repair because you sent me the wrong part. That was mislabeled. Then you want me to ship it back but didn't pay for the shipping? And that would be twelve dollars so it's going in the trash!! Very displeased
