Ice maker stopped making ice. On ice build up, reset button chimes, but no ice is made, all doors are operable. Refrigerator is 2 years old. Fan on back of large drawer was blocked but is now clear. What other things can i try?

Hello Vickie, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking the water filter for any clogging or damage. If the filter is fine, then the issue is with the ice maker assembly, part number PS12115595. You may need to replace it. We hope this helps!

HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE BOTTOM SHELF.

Hi Ronald, thank you for reaching out. To remove, slide up the front of the shelf so that it folds. Then gently lift up and pull out. To reinsert, place the shelf on the angled frame in the main unit, and then press down to unfold. We hope this information helps!

This is the Samsung French door refrigerator style that so many people have complained about freezing up and not cooling the top section. I first changed out the defrost thermostat and this did not correct the problem. I done a quick resistance check on the temp sensor that's mounted on the evaporator itself. The resistance would change w hen holding an ice cube on the sensor so I just assumed it was ok. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.

Replaced parts, as ordered - very simple. Watched the video before hand. Found that existing assembly did not have the "Y" clip installed. Been making ice for three weeks with no freezing up (yet) - time will tell.

CLOSING MECHANISM BROKE IN TWO.

OPENED THE LEFT SIDE REFRIGERATOR DOOR WHERE THE DEFECTIVE MECHANISM WAS. GOT UP ON THE FIRST STEP OF THE STEP STOOL,REMOVED THE PHILLIPS HEAD RETAINING SCREW FROM THE BROKEN PART.PUT THE NEW CLOSING MECHANISM IN PLACE AND RE-INSTALLED THE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREW. STEPPED DOWN FROM THE STEP STOOL AND SHUT THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR.
