Our oven is only heating up to about 190 degrees, can we fix it ourselves?
For model number PRG304GH

Hi Julie, Thank you for your question. There could be a few parts that can cause an issue like that. The thermostat is definitely one of them along with the Temperature Sensor. You may also want to check your igniter as well. If those parts are both fine, then it may be your PCB that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Le broil ne fonctionne plus sur grand four. The broil no longer works on a large oven.

Hi Donald, Thank you for your question. If the broil function on your oven is not working, you may have either a faulty broiler burner, oven igniter or gas valve. You will need to check the parts to see which one is causing the issue. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Thermoredor model PRG304GH gas range that tries to ignite the rear burner by it self. The burner does not ignite.
For model number PRG304GH

Hello Bob, thank you for contacting us. There are several reasons why the burner does not ignite. As oil and food residue pile up on the surface, the burner may get clogged, preventing the gas from flowing to the igniter. As a result, the burner will not emit flames properly. So you will need to clean the burners. Also, the igniter, part number PS8728077, might be the problem. After turning on a burner, the igniter inside will spark up and produce much-needed heat. Over time, though, the igniter may start malfunctioning and fail to produce a spark that is powerful enough to ignite the gas. If there is a loose wire between the burner and the control board, then the burner might not work properly, which includes failing to light up when it needs to. Also, make sure the burner cap is seated properly. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!

Hello Susan, thank you for reaching out. We have researched and found that you may need to check the spark electrode, part number PS8728077, to fix the issue. The part number of the spark electrode is same for both of the front burners. We hope this helps!

Four extra Low burner igniters malfunctioned, Sparking when burner off.
The sole review for this part by Andrew was most helpful and accurate with one exception: he said that there were two nuts Which needed to be removed in order to pull off the front knob panel. There were actually two on each end for a total of four, which confused me, as I wondered if I had the right ones. Another thing that would be helpful for somebody considering doing this repair is to know that it takes a deep quarter inch socket With two 6 inch extensions to reach these nuts through holes in the interior side panels. Also, take a look at the replacement potentiometers, and you’ll see that there’s a slot that can be lined up so that they can be pulled off the side of the shaft rather than off the front of the shaft. This repair took me about six hours. I’m mechanically inclined and work methodically, but since I’ve never done this repair before it was quite time-consuming.
