Excessive lint on clothes. Is there a lint filter on this clothes washer.
For model number MVWC565FW2
PartSelect logo
Hi Patrick, Thank you for your question. If there is lint on your clothes after a wash, the drain pump filter may be clogged and you will need to clean it. This filter is located in the bottom of the outer tub assembly under the basket. To access it, you need to remove the basket and the agitator. Once you have found it, unthread the screws securing it, so you can remove it. If you have overloaded your washer, this would be another reason why lint would build up on your clothes. Wash the clothes in smaller loads. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

Do I need a new capacitor if my agitator doesn't work but the spin cycle does
For model number MVWC565FW2
PartSelect logo
Hello Abe, thank you for contacting us. If your agitator is not working, you need to check if the agitator assembly, part number PS16620354, is damaged. Check the drive blocks, they are usually made of plastic and can wear out over time. If the drive belt is broken or loose, the agitator will also not work. We hope this helps.

Exactly when does lid lock kick on, just when spinning.
For model number MVWC565FW2
PartSelect logo
Hi Pat, Thank you for your question. The door lock assembly detects if the washer lid is open or closed and prevents the washer from spinning when the lid is open. When the washer is on and the lid is closed the lock is engaged. If the washer is not starting, agitating, spinning or draining when the lid is closed, then the issue is likely the door lock assembly and it will need to be replaced. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

I can't seem to get the agitator out of my washer to see what is wrong with it why it will not agitate it was recently overloaded
For model number MVWC565FW2
PartSelect logo
Hello Barbara, thank you for contacting us. You can follow these instructions to remove the agitator. You will have to remove the fabric softener dispenser first. Then use a long ratchet with a 7/16th socket to loosen the nut inside the agitator. Then push the agitator a little in order to remove it. The problem is most likely linked to the washer's faulty drive hub. You may need to replace the drive hub, part number PS6012095. We hope this helps.

Hub had warn its grooved teeth off and washer wouldnt agitate
ordered hub and it shipped quickly. I was able to put the hub in place and screw the screws in. you want to tighten them down slowly and go around to each screw tightening a little at a time so you don't break the hub. as you tighten the screws down the hub slides down flush. its impossible to just push the hub on with your hand. Buttoned it back up and got caught up on laundry. good day when the washer is fixed.
