Hello Daniel and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty washer ( top of the agitator) PS11742027 and/or a faulty washer drive pulley PS10057144, you should check for signs of damage, and replace if necessary. Also do check the drive belt PS11747978, it might have come loose or defective. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
My clothes are very wet after the washer is complete ? Why ? What’s wrong ?

Hello and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty or loose drive belt PS11747978 and/or possibly a malfunctioning drive pulley PS10057144 you should check the part(s) for signs of damage and replace the part(s) as needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
Hello,
A few days ago our washing machine started making a combination buzzing/clicking noise when it moved to the wash cycle and would not agitate. We also smelled a slight "burnt rubber" smell (definitely not electrical burnt smell). I started by buying a drive clutch kit and belt and replaced those items. Problem persisted.
Next, I replaced the actuator and that fixed the issue. However, during the first load of clothes after the actuator was replaced, I heard this high pitched squeal. On the second load, I didn't hear that squeal, but that burnt rubber smell came back even stronger.
The new belt was very difficult to get on, but it is on securely. I know it's definitely in the groove of the smaller pulley. I also rotated the pulley one revolution in both directions and it moved freely. I can also freely spin the tub in both directions when I have the lid open.
I did a little research and some websites indicate this could be a drive motor overheating. The unit is only 6 years old.
Could this be a drive motor going bad? If not, what else might it be?
Thanks in advance,
Andy

Hello Andy, thank you for your inquiry. The drive motor uses a pulley to turn the drive and/or pump belts. The motor pulley is designed to provide the maximum contact with the belts and may be made of metal or a synthetic material. If the pulley becomes worn or rusted, it may create excess friction and overheat or damage the belt, causing a burning smell. Visually inspect your motor pulley for any buildups of grease, dirt, or other materials, as well as for signs of damage, wear, or burning. If you find that your pulley, part number PS10057144, is worn or damaged, you will need to replace it. We hope that helps!

Our washer was not agitating and so we order the washer clutch assembly and drive belt. After removing the plastic cover shield of the clutch assembly I saw that there was an oily film inside the plastic cover shield and also on the large diameter pulley that connects to the drive motor via a drive belt. All the parts of the clutch assembly looked to be in working order, but I replaced them anyway. I also installed a new drive belt. I suspect the agitator was not working because the belt was slipping due to the oily film on the pulley. Where would this oil have come from and is it something I could fix or is it time to call a repairman?

Hello Joyce, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the Tub Seal PartSelect Number PS3407958.Hope this helps!
Well, first investigated and found loose nut on drive clutch. First take off the two screws with nut drive then cover off using a screwdriver blade to snap off the cover. Then socket ratchet to take off the nut on drive clutch. take off belt by slowly rotating the drive gear. two screws that hold the electronics to the upper drive clutch and put aside, so you can snap off the cover for drive clutch on upper part with screwdriver and off the parts come and install whole unit back as took it apart. Line up the new upper clutch so that is position as was before. (Using parts diagram helps a lot as www. partsselect.com has for you or Maytag.com.) Then put the electronic part board back on and the gear and nut. Make sure it is tight by several attempts to make sure it's snugged up good and then slowly roll belt back on the pulley and motor drive. Put your cover guard back on with two screws and done.
ordered hub and it shipped quickly. I was able to put the hub in place and screw the screws in. you want to tighten them down slowly and go around to each screw tightening a little at a time so you don't break the hub. as you tighten the screws down the hub slides down flush. its impossible to just push the hub on with your hand. Buttoned it back up and got caught up on laundry. good day when the washer is fixed.
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
