The lid disintegrated at the corner where it attaches to the washer. The plastic broke into pieces. I purchased this unit 4/17/2020. I am still under warranty. Have other customers had this problem?

Does this model have a washer lint trap that i should clean
For model number MVWB765FW0
PartSelect logo
Hello and thank you for writing. There is no information for this particular model, however, there are usually 2 places to find the trap if your unit is equipped with one. How to Find the Laundry Drain Lint Trap Along the top rim of the washer drum: Slide your fingers around the top of the washing basin, and you may run into a screen, which you can pull out to remove lint. Inside the center agitator: If you have a top-loading washer, inspect the center agitator. For your convenience, we have attached the link to our repair video in case you do need to unclog the drain pump. We hope this helps. Good luck with your repair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiMaunCHRAU

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

Broken lid frame at left hinge.
Raised lid to remove two Torx head screws from each hinge. Lid will then lift off of hinges. Installation of new lid was the reverse of the removal procedure. It is best to install one hinge to the lid by removing that hinge from the washer. The lid can then be installed by inserting that hinge into it's spot and then over the other hinge. Install the hinge screws into the second hinge and the job is complete. The lid now closes properly allowing the automatic lid lock to function properly.
