The tabs the screws go into on our vent grill are broken. Is there anyway to repair the vent tabs so the cover stays there, or do I have to get a brand new grill?

For model number MMV4203WS2
Hi Nawazish, Thank you for your question. There are a few parts that you could check for this issue. Please be advised, you must unplug the appliance from power and safely discharge the capacitor before attempting any repair as the capacitor can electrocute you if not properly discharged. You would be able to test these parts with a multi meter, remove them from the appliance before testing. First you should take a look at your fuse being the issue. It should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. You should also check your diode. You will also want to test all of your door switches to make sure that they are working. They should also be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. If those parts are fine then the issue might either be in your capacitor or your magnetron itself. Good luck with your repair.

The nightmare was that this microwave is installed under the cabinet....in order to get to the light bulb I had to pull out my stove then squeeze into the space between the stove and counter....my old microwave light bult was much easier to change.....Shame on Whirlpool for making this so difficult.....must be a better way to cover the light bulb so that we do not need a screwdriver to remove the door to get to the light bulb
