Part #242273-00
Keep your power tools running at peak performance with this genuine replacement carbon brush. Sold individually, this brush is designed for long-lasting durability and reliable performance. Most tools require two brushes, and it's always recommended to replace both at the same time—even if only one appears worn—to ensure balanced motor function. Carbon brushes are wear-and-tear items that naturally degrade over time due to friction. Worn brushes are a common cause of poor motor performance, including intermittent operation, reduced power, and weakened electric braking. Replacing them can often restore your tool’s full functionality. Signs of wear include brushes that are worn down near the wire lead, or those that appear cracked, pitted, or burned. When installing new brushes, it’s a good idea to inspect the armature for any signs of damage such as burns or cracks, which could indicate deeper motor issues. Regular maintenance with fresh brushes helps extend the life of your tools and keeps them working like new.
