I need a door boot seal for my 2000 Maytag front loading washing machine as it is very moldy. Is there any other type that I can use for it instead.

I am concerned about the amount of water I can hear under the drum once a load of laundry is complete. There is no water left in the drum but a large amount can be heard when I try to turn the empty drum. There are no kinks in the discharge hose or blockages. Is there anything I can do?
For model number MLE2000AZW
Hi Kathryn, thank you for reaching out. There is always a little water under your washing machine drum after doing laundry. This is because after the washing machine pump pumps out water, there is always some water left in the drain line which falls back into the tub and levels out.
If there is a high level of water, ensure that the drain hose is properly installed. It should be elevated at a certain point and securely placed into a drain or standpipe. If the drain hose is placed too low or too deep into the drain, it can create a siphoning effect, where water is continuously drained out and then refilled, causing water to remain in the drum. Check the door seal (gasket) and the drum for any visible damage or wear. If the seal is damaged or has gaps, it could allow water to enter and remain in the drum. If you find any issues with the seal, consider replacing it. If this does not help, we recommend replacing the lip seal kit, part number PS2003500. We hope this solves your problem!
first, I unplug the power supply of the dryer then I removed the two screws at the bottom of the dryer then pulled out the front part of the dryer, unplugged the blue & yellow wire for the on/off switch for the door,at the back of the dryer I unscrew the pannel for the belt, disconect the belt, and I unscrew the four screws on both side of the front pannel to remove the front cover of the drum. Once I removed the front cover of the drum I can now remove the drum itself to access the drum support roller. I unscrew the rollers then replace it with the new once. It was an easy job. Thank you.
