Replaced the bulb under the hood. (High/low halogen bulb) it only lasted about two months. Cost me $5.30 something for one bulb. I wore gloves since it was Halogen and didn't touch the bulb. Is this a quality issue or is there something else that may be causing the premature burn out? Would I just be better off buying one of those stick on lights? That same bulb is now over $8.00!

Hello Rick, thank you for contacting us. Sometimes a faulty socket, part number PS389948, causes a premature light burnout, part number PS2376034. Please test the socket and make sure it is not drawing excessive current and its wattage is not exceeding the 40 watts mark. We hope this information helps!
Slide grease filter about 1/2 inch to right (or left) using the d-ring attached to one side and then pull down and out. Push charcoal filter frame slightly to rear and pry down from front. Install new charcoal and grease filters by reversing process. No tools - 5-minutes max!!
