Dryer was working fine one one load and next load the burner quite working. Any ideas on what the fix is?
For model number MGDB400VQ0
Hello Scott, thank you for inquiring. If the dryer has no heat, you will most likely need to replace the M Series New Style Coil Kit, part number PS334310 for your model. You may also want to consider the Igniter, part number PS334180. You can test the continuity of the Igniter with a multimeter. You should receive a reading of 50-400 ohms for it to be functioning properly. Good luck with your repair!

DRYER SQUEALS WITH HEAVIER LOAD. SOUNDS LIKE A PULLY OR SOMETHING
For model number MGDB400VQ0
Hi Eddie, thank you for reaching. If you notice that your dryer is noisy or will not tumble, you may need to replace the tri ring, part number PS11755850. This part is triangular, and is less than an inch in size. Tri rings can be found both on the idler pulley shaft, or on the rear drum roller shaft, or it is the Idler Pulley Wheel and arm, part number PS11756154. In either case, you will need to remove the front panel of the dryer and the drum to access the part for repair. Be sure to disconnect the power source from the dryer before you begin this repair. We have included a video of how to replace the Tri ring. We hope this helps.
My gas dryer heats but at a very low temperature moderate at best. I have cleaned out the vent and taking a dryer apart and cleaned out the internal areas as well (fan etc.). My question is is this a problem with the gas valve coils Or the Heat sensor. I would also probably order A new moisture sensor control because it's never been good at sensing when the clothes are dry.
For model number MGDB400VQ0
Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the coils, radiant flame sensor, and thermostat. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. The moisture sensor is part# PS11741408. Good luck with your repair.
PartSelect showed seven different possibilities why the dryer wouldn't heat. I removed the two screws to remove the bottom panel and turned the dryer on and noticed that the heating element that ignites the gas was working fine. This meant that it was not getting gas so it could be the gas valve or one of the two gas valve coils which are located on top of the gas valve. I borrowed my neighbor"s ohm meter and touched the two probes on the coils terminals to check for continuity and found that one of the coils read zero. I then took both of the coils out by removing two screws and tested each coil again. One coil read 500-850 and the other read zero. This meant that it was no good so I called for the part and received it in three days. I reassembled the parts and turned the dryer on and it fired up after a few seconds. It works as good as new. The part plus shipping was less than $30. My repairman would have charged me $150-$200. While the dryer was apart I gave it a good cleaning with a vacuum and a toothbrush in delicate areas. I also removed and cleaned the lint trap housing by removing two nuts. I didn't know much about gas dryers, but thanks to PartSelect I easily fixed it myself.
There was no problem with lint build-up within the dryer & the exhaust vent. I removed the gas cycling thermostat & thermal fuse from system & dryer still was not operating correctly. The radiant sensor & hi-limit thermostat both seemed to be operating correctly. That left either of the two coils as the culprits. I replaced both coils & the problem was corrected.
