Hi Annie, thank you for your question. When you are having temperature problems in your fridge, there are a few parts that could cause the issue. You can use a multi meter to test most of the parts. Make sure you cut power to your appliance before doing any repairs or tests. First you should test your defrost thermostat. Place the thermostat in ice cold water for 2-3 minutes after removing it from your appliance. It should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. Another part to check would be your defrost heater. Remove it from the appliance. It should be reading anywhere between 0 - 50 ohms to be working. You could check your temperature sensor. To find the correct reading for this part you will have to refer to your tech sheet that comes with your appliance. You can usually find this tech sheet behind the bottom grille of your fridge on either the right or left side. These are the most common parts that cause this issue in your appliance. So it is suggested you check them first. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

We bought this refrigerator about 1 1/2 years ago. At about a year the light went out and a clicking noise from behind the refrigerator could be heard. During this time the refrigerator did not cool or dispense ice or water. We unplugged the refrigerator for awhile and plugged it back in. After awhile it started working again. This happened more often so we had an appliance repair tech come in and he really couldn't figure it out since it wouldn't act up for him. He cleaned the condensor coils and checked tthe compressor out and everything checked out. Eventually we ended up spending another$350 to have the computer replaced. It worked for about 6 months before it did it again. Now I cant get the water to work! Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Hello Scott, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model you have provided and we would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the primary water inlet valve, the secondary water inlet valve, the thermistor, the evaporator fan motor, the water filter, the ice and water door and motor assembly (which includes the dispenser solenoid) and the water and ice dispenser control board. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Good luck with your repair.

Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.

Ice dispenser motor burnt out, water got inside.
Purchased new motor from Partselect.com. When it arrived it came with a new rubber washer that fitted on top of new motor that was not on old motor, that how water got into old motor. However, the instruction sheet did not give info on how to access the proper way to the motor that is the door. Not wanting to damage the freezer door assy. called in a tech who made it look easy, but even he had a little problem locating access panel that was directly under the motor in the freezer side of the door. After that it was a piece of cake.

while closing the door, the light switch fouled, resulting in the switch breaking
I used a flat screwdriver and released the lock tab on the bottom of the light switch, and pried the switch out, being careful to not damage the plastic around the mounting place of the switch, unplugged wiring from old switch, plugged in the new one and pushed the new switch into place. Job finished light switch now working.
