Dirt on clothes after spin cycle.. Is there a clean out for the tub?
For model number MAV7700AWW
Hi Sandy, thank you for your inquiry. The dirt on clothes after the spin cycle can be due to the dirty tub. In order to clean the tub, set your washing machine to the highest and hottest water setting. Add in four cups of white vinegar and start a cycle. Once the washing machine is filled up and barely started, pause it and allow the water and white vinegar to soak the drum for an hour. When the first rinse cycle has ended, pour in a cup of baking soda and turn your top loader back on for one more powerful cycle with the hottest settings. When that is done, leave the top open to let it air dry. We hope that helps!

Will not spin water out. I had been using it with no hot water for awhile. For awhile all I could get was either hot{real hot) or cold. Then it got where all I could get was just cold. We had a man come and look at it and said it was not worth fixing. Does this sound like he might be right. The washer is probable 15 plus years old

Hello Marcelle, Thank you for the question. If the drum is still spinning but the water is not draining, we suggest replacing the Drain Pump. For the Cold and Hot water issues you may need to replace the Water Inlet Valve that controls the water that fills the tub. We hope this helps!
Hello Liborio, thank you for reaching out. We have attached a relevant video that will help you in replacing the suspension spring. We hope this helps!

Lay washer on front, removed belt. Removed center pulley with thrust bearing (pulley was worn on upper end, against thrust bearing, thrust bearing was worn also). Installed new thrust bearing & pulley kit. Cleaned & lubed slots that motor insulators slide in, installed new belt.
Unlug the AC cord, open the top from the front it snaps open with a little force and hinges on the back, remove the 2 screws on the front cover and take it off, tip the washer and remove the belt, take off the pump hose from the back (I removed the back cover also) and the little hose going to the basket. Remove the 6 springs and lift the complete drum out of the waser and turn it upside down. You can see the plastic snubber ring that is worn, loosen the 6 screws just enough to get the old ring out and the new one in. WARNING (DO NOT TAKE THE SCREWS ALL THE WAY OUT OR THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY WILL RELEASE AND A SPECIAL TOOL IS NEEDED TO PUT IT BACK) Install the new ring, tighten the screws and put the tub back in connecting everything back up and use the 6 new springs. It really isn't that hard to do.
