How to lift the top off the washer

The washer in the video may not show exactly like the one you have and the part referenced in the video is the tub bearing, but it will give you a general idea on how to remove the top off of the washer. Already replaced the water inlet valve. Wash your drains through all Cycles does not stop.

Is this model a direct drive or belt driven? Our washer has lost power for the spin cycle.

Hello Brian, thank you for your question. Your model uses a direct drive motor coupler instead of a belt. The Direct Drive Water Pump is part PS11741239. The Direct Drive Motor Coupling is PS1485646. The Clutch Assembly is PS334641. This part is for large capacity belt drive and direct drive appliances. We have videos of all three on our website. We hope this helps.

I ordered the washer direct drive water pump (PS11741239) for my washer because it would not drain. Went to replace it and realized this part is not the problem. When I turn the cycle to a wash setting all I get is a humming noise coming presumably from the motor. It does nothing when I turn it to a spin cycle. Any clue as to what might be wrong with it? Thanks for you help in advance, Joel

Based on the description that you have provided, the most common cause is a broken or worn motor coupler, which connects the motor to the transmission; when it fails, the motor can run and hum but no power is transferred to move the agitator or spin the basket. We would suggest inspecting it, the part number is PS1485646. We hope this information helps!
