Hi Mike, thank you for your question. Most of the time when your appliance will not start at all, the part you would have to check would be the thermistor PTC assembly: PS8751179, or your compressor itself: PS12725411. Good luck with your repair.

Water pressure very low out of water dispenser. Water pressure going into the ice maker also very low. Ice try does not fill. Replaced filter no change. Making only a few very small ice cubes per cycle.

My freezer compartment is not freezing. I recently changed the drier, did complete psi vacum test and re-gas. It worked for 2 weeks only. The compressor is working, other part of the refrigerator is cooling as normal. Cool air is also in the freezer section but just not freezing. The the top light switch is not working when the top draw is pulled out, bottom light works good. Can this have any bearings on sending mixed signal to the control board? Is it necessary to change the control board?

We would recommend checking the freezer evaporator fan motor first, then the defrost sensor, the freezer temperature sensor, the sensor pcb assembly, and the defrost heater. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Good luck with your repair.

1. Shut off water to refrigerator. 2. Removed bottom sheet metal cover (6 screws). 3. Removed leaking water inlet valve assembly from refrigerator (1 screw). 4. Remove water inlet tube (loosen nut) and tube back to refrigerator (pull from water valve after remove cotter pin washer). 5. Detach two electrical wire harnesses. 6. Install new water inlet valve assembly to refrigerator (1 screw). 7. Replace both water tubes to water inlet assembly. 8. Re-attach both wiring harnesses. 9. Turn water to refrigerator on. 10. Check for leaks. 11. Re-attach bottom sheet cover (6 screws).
Found the broken spring; matched it with parts diagram. Googled for sources via part number. Selected this site because it had best deal - price, availability, shipping. Part arrived as predicted; installed it in 2 minutes. Job done. Door now works.
