Can the fridge part continue cooling if the freezer part is not?
For model number LMXS27626D
PartSelect logo
Hello Connie, thank you for your question. If the freezer is not cooling the fridge will not cool. The fridge receives cold air from the freezer that circulates in the fridge to keep items cool. The freezer has to work for the fridge to get cool. I hope this helps.

Hi Henry, Thank you for your question. If the freezer is too warm, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the defrost heater, the defrost sensor, the evaporator fan motor, the condenser fan motor, the electronic control board and the thermistor. You should also check the freezer door gasket to make sure it is sealing when the door is shut. If it is not sealing as it should this can allow warm air into the freezer. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.
