CONDENSATE LEAK ON RIGHT FRONT. WHERE IS THE DRAIN AND THE EASIEST WAY TO UNPLUG?
For model number LAN246HV
Hello Thomas, thank you for the question. Your air conditioner may be facing this issue due to a clogged drain hose assembly, part number PS3617208. If the drain line gets clogged, water can not escape and drain outside, causing the condensation to come back inside and leak water from the front. The drain hose assembly is located under the evaporator assembly. In order to unplug the drain hose assembly, you need to remove the front plastic cover by removing the screws. Now remove the front grill assembly, detach the drain line and pull it out. Good luck with the repair!
Main problem was removing the cowling from the LG head unit as I had no instructions on how to do it. I had watched the previous technicians that had worked on the unit remove it. Once the cowling is removed all that needs done is remove the 2 mounting screws and unplug the old motor, plug in the new motor and remount it with the 2 screws. Then the cowling has to be reinstalled.
Ordered replacement part from Part Select. Part verified thru LG customer service. LG stated that connector on Part Select Thermistor assembly won't match the connector in the LG unit. Cut the connector from the defective Thermistor and spliced it into the Thermistor from Part Select. Unit works fine after repair.
