My daughter picked up this stove used, how do i know if it's set up for natural gas or propane?
For model number KGRA806PSS02
PartSelect logo
Hello and thank you for writing. The serial tag and rating plate contain the gas type information, either natural gas (NG) or liquid propane (LP). If a gas product is converted to the other type of gas, a sticker is placed near the original serial tag and rating plate to indicate the gas type change. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

When using self cleaning, oven door wouldn't open and screen panel went blank.
I searched similar problems on the web and learned that a whole lot of people have Kitchenaid stove with the same problem. They all stated that the thermostat burns when self cleaning. Since technician wanted $190.00, I decided to change it myself. The part cost me $40.00. To instal the thermostat, I removed the panel at the back of the stove and the thermostat is attached with two wires. After I replaced the thrmostat, the screen panel came on and I was able to open the door. I am posting this to tell people that anyone can do this.

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

function key stuck
The repair was easy, I used one screw driver and that was it, less than an hour. Part worked great! Before I repaired the oven, I was told by a service tech. the repairs would cost $693, I repaired myself for $166 tnru part select . Using a Philips head driver I unscrewed two screws holding the front panel onto the stove, unplugged the control panel. Unscrewed the mother board pulled old membrane switch out replaced it with new. Its that easy. Then reverse the process.
