I have a water build up in the bottom of my freezer in my kitchen aid refrigerator/freezer. It freezes around where it looks like there is a drain in the back of the freeezer, but there is no where for it to drain to subsequently building up and eventually leaks out onto the floor in the front of the freezer section.

We have this nice kitchen aid built in refrigerator/freezer with a bottom pullout drawer. Water is dripping from the bottom corners of the drawer onto the kitchen floor in front of the unit. Any suggestions as to what the cause might be?

Hello Daniel, Thank you for your inquiry. It can be caused by the drain tube being clogged, this where the water from the defrost cycle drains into the drain pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. Check the tubes and drain hole/breather valve in the bottom of the refrigerator to see if the line is clogged or frozen. The other part that could cause this issue is the water inlet valve, and check the water tubes for any clogs or leaks. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Louis, thank you for contacting us. The part that you are looking for is the door gasket. The door gasket for the refrigerator section is part number PS1518643, and the gasket for the freezer section is part number PS11749943. Glad to be of assistance!
First I shut the water off to the refrigerator.then i pushed the big button in the middle of the grille below the refrigerator door. pulled out the old filter, took the front cap off the old filter put it on the new filter. took the two red caps off the new filter. pushed the filter in till it locked in place. all done! Turned the back on.
It's simple enough in theory: read the side of the box and follow the instructions. BUT you need to really push the knob in pretty hard (I am a girl, and my hand strength isn't that good). If you don't, when you turn the knob, the filter won't come out, then it's tougher. So: make sure the knob pops before you turn!
