Ice maker doesn't shut off, it's constantly dispensing. We've removed the entire door unit, the ice tray and internal unit. Literally removed everything down to the guts. As soon as we shut the door the motor starts going again trying to dispense but there's no parts left so we unplugged a plug on the left side and it stopped the motor. So is the door trigger bad or something in the wiring?

Hello Laurie, thank you for your question. We have researched the model you have provided, and we would suggest the Water Inlet Valve, part number PS11755669. We hope this helps!

Hello, Thank you for your question. That could be caused from a short, or the wires began slipping and started to make contact with another wire. We hope this helps.

Ice maker keeps freezing up at the inlet cup so when there is a call for ice water runs out and over the ice maker. All solenoids main inlet, ice and water solenoids inside fridge as well as the one for crushed or cube seem to work. They all read different values but not zero so im thinking they are functioning. Turned freezer up and fridge by two degrees above suggested range to see if that will help. New water filter so thats not the issue fridge is about four years old just started this a month ago.

Hi Scott,
Thank you for your question. If you have checked the other parts in your refrigerator and they are fine, try raising the temperature to see if this will prevent the fill tube from freezing. Also, make sure all the tubing connected to it is fitted properly. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
Pressed in the end of the filter cover, lowered it down part way. Twisted the old filter 1/4 turn and removed it. Set in the sink to drain. Inserted new filter and twisted it to lock. closed cover. Done. Total time @ 1 Minute.
I removed the drop-down outer housing by gently prying the sides of the two pivot pins at the rear. This gave me move 'room' to grip and slightly rotate then pull the old filter forward and away from the tight suction connection. I was concerned that I would be too forceful for the plastic assemblies and would break something; deliberate motions and a steady thought process on the problem helped disengage the darned old filter!
