Hello i volunteer at a nonprofit animal shelter doing some maintenance. The washing machine in question will spin real slow on spin cycle but never enough to remove water. Spin cycle light blinks indicating an unbalanced load. So i looked on the web and try numerous things including running washer with nothing in it , it drained water out but barely spun and still indicated an unbalanced load. My question is what is that i have to replace to get this to work properly?P.s. this is a back up washer now ,because we had to get a new one(someone donated same make and model). just would like to repair this ,so the shelter doesn't have to be without a washer.
thank you for any info
For model number GTW330ASK1WW
Hello Charles, thank you for your question. The first thing I would recommend is checking for any damage or visible wear to the Belt. The Belt could cause issues with spinning and draining. Another part I would advise checking is the in the Drain Pump. I hope this helps.

Washer won’t spin or drain. Help with lid switch testing/diagnostics (ohm readings?), lid disassembly, etc.
For model number GTW330ASK1WW
Hello and thank you for writing.
You would need to check the following items for damage and replace if defective :
Drain pump PS12582968, the reading should be between 5 ohms to 10 ohms.
Door lock PS12343280 ohm ratings should be around 1500 ohm or higher. First, open the lid and use a knife or putty knife to pull the bezel off the top where the kid lock is located. Then you can use a flat head screwdriver to push in the clips holding the lid lock to the underside of the top. Once that is removed the wire harness can be removed and the new part installed.
Lid lock striker PS11729471, check for physical damage
Drive belt PS11767488 check for physical damage
We hope this information helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

How do i replace the water inlet valve
For model number GTW330ASK1WW
Hello Charlie, thank you for your question. The easiest way to replace the valve is to remove the two 1/4" hex screws (one on each side of the control panel). Lift the control panel off and let it hang behind the washer. Remove the connector on each side of the valve assembly then remove the two 1/4" hex screws on the valve assembly and lifted the assembly out. Reversed the process to install. I hope this helps.

We've changed lid switch, belt and now replaced the drain pump, all started out with it filling up then just shutting off, then replaced lid switch where it would then fill and wash just wouldn't spin and rinse so we replaced drain pump now all lights work but we press the start button we got no lights and very little water coming into washer then shutting down

Hello Amanda, thank you for your question. It sounds like the main control board, Part #: PS12730586, is not working properly. We would recommend replacing that part. I hope this helps.

Drain all the water out of the tub with a shop vac Remove rear drain hose and drained rest of water into a bucket Remove small rear panel (bottom left hand corner) where the drain hose connects Tipped washer up about 45 degrees to get underneath it - Supported it with a few paint cans Remove internal drain hose/clamps from pump - w/ pliers Remove belt cover (gray plastic) with socket - 3 bolts Remove wire assembly plug from socket Remove old drain pump with socket - 3 bolts Install new drain pump - 3 bolts - plug wire assembly into socket Reinstall belt cover - 3 bolts Reinstall hose to drain pump (note panel will be inside washer) Feed drain hose panel through hole and reinstall - 1 nut Re attached drain hose to exterior drain plug You are done !
Very simple to repair. Be sure to drain the tub outside or into the sump pump then lay the washer on its side. The pump is right there on the bottom of the basket with 3 bolts. You will also need to remove the belt cover to get to the plug. So simple and saves you hundreds off repair man prices.
