Plastic handle had cracked
Only tool needed was a screwdriver --unscrew the old one, (cleaned the door!), then screwed the new handle back on. Five screws. I did also break part of the old handle out from under the GE logo on the old handle so I could install the logo on the new handle. It was easy to do but annoying that it didn't come with either the logo already installed in the new handle, or included in the order. The new handle had the impression in place and would have looked like it was missing something!

Refrigerator would not come on
I removed the one screw holding cover in place contained the thermostat . Next , I removed the thermostat from the plastic housing. NO screws, it just clippped in. I replaced the old with the new and reinstalled the cover. 2 minutes max. Sears said the part was obsolete but Partselect had what I needed.
