The hinge pin on the pantry door has broken off. Can that be fixed
For model number GI6SDRXXY07
Hi Scott, thank you for your inquiry. The pin that the lid swivels open and closed on is part of the end cap. You will need to replace the pantry end-cap kit, part number PS11738134. Glad to be of help!
My fridge was unplugged for days. The water was also shut off. The fridge is back on for a week now and no ice. Water in door works. Changed filter. Got a few small cubes at first, then nothing. Please help.

Hello Larry, Thank you for the question. We suggest starting with the waterlines. See if they line going to the Ice Maker needs to be bled. There could be air blocking the water from getting through. If this does not fix the issue, you may need to replace the Water Valve. We hope this helps!
How do I adjust the refrigerator so that the doors don’t close on me while placing groceries inside? I have adjusted the height setting screws in the front to be as low as possible. Maybe put a shim under the back end to tip the fridge a bit forward? Thanks
For model number GI6SDRXXY07
Hello Russ, thank you for writing. Try swapping the door hinge onto the opposite side. This may make the door swing open instead of shut but this is less of problem because you hold the refrigerator door when you open it. This way you can bring it to rest in the open position and it will stay there rather than swinging closed. We hope this helps.

Pressed in the end of the filter cover, lowered it down part way. Twisted the old filter 1/4 turn and removed it. Set in the sink to drain. Inserted new filter and twisted it to lock. closed cover. Done. Total time @ 1 Minute.
I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck let's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!
Removed the fruit & veggie drawers & the deli (pantry) drawer. Took out the 3 screws, removed the attached parts, put them on the replacement part, reattached it and put the drawers back in.
Here's the part I want to share: PartSelect had a expanded diagram showing the correct part and sufficiently detailed to figure out the repair before the part arrived. That's why I ordered from them. Secondly, I ordered the part Thursday morning--and the thing was sitting on my porch when I came back in from my evening out Saturday--2 days later!!!
