Our stove top is working sporadically. It will work for a while but then all five elements will go out for a while. We leave it off for a while and they will work again. It's very frustrating especially this past thursday (thanksgiving). Please advise.

Hi Tom, thank you for your question. There are a couple of parts that could cause this issue specifically. It sounds like the part you may want to look at first would be the wiring of your appliance. If all five of your elements are effected then that is the most likely issue. You can also test all of your elements and switches separately as well. You will need a multi meter to be able to test the parts. The first part you will want to check is your radiant element. It should be reading between 0 - 120 ohms to be working correctly. The other part to check would be your infinite (or surface burner) switch. When you remove that part from the appliance, connect each probe from your multi meter to the prongs and then turn the switch to an on position. If you get no continuity then the switch is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Glass top stove element stopped working
really easy! Removed 2 screws under the glass top at the front, access from the open oven door, then removed the ground wire, removed the stove top, took the element holder off,( 2 screws)and replaced with new element, 30 minutes. I ordered the part and came within 18 hrs of ordering it, fantastic experience.
