Non-profit freezer, is this model frost-free? It's frosting up. Are cooling coil with possible frost free heaters in top of unit? Control works then hi temp & door open led lights start blinking fast. No alarm is heard and internal light not working. Bad electronic temp control?

Hello Kevin, thank you for your question. This unit should self defrost. The temperature control board sounds to have failed. We would recommend replacing that part. I hope this helps.

Hello and thank you for writing.
Yes, the EZ control PS3491624 is mounted on the front door. The defrost thermostat PS303451 is located inside the bottom to the left of the coils. The EZ control is the control board. You will want to check this thermistor at room temp and should have a resistance of 10K ohms at room temp. If leaving in the unit try and put the meter on 200K setting and see if you get a reading. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
I called the local GE dealer for repair. The repair person arrived and told me that he could not get the part. The freezer was too old. Then he charged me $60 for coming out. I went online and did a search for parts with the model number above. I found Partselect.com and the diagrams showed which part I needed. It was in stock and I ordered it. My husband and I removed the door to the freezer, pushed the part into the hole at the bottom of the door and put the door back on its hinges. It works perfectly. Thank you.
