FRA103KT10 Frigidaire Air Conditioner - Instructions
Keep searches simple. Use keywords, e.g. "leaking", "pump", "broken" or "fit".
When powered off, the unit made a growling/rumbling sound that I believe was the condenser. When powered on, the thermometer was not functioning as the unit continued to run making the room colder and colder.
Essentially a plug and play repair by removing the old pc board found inside the unit and replacing it. Itβs inside a metal box behind the faceplate of the air conditioner. Many things attached to this board so be sure to replace the connections exactly. I took several pictures prior to disconnecting for reference.

The window AC unit is for a slider style window 48" high. The installation kit that came with the unit was for a 40" high window.
Last year, my Son-in-law installed the unit by building up the bottom portion of the widow with assorted 2" X 4"s. It was unsightly, leaked, and by the end of Summer, it was growing mold. This year I purchased part # PS2582934, the panel frame, & a piece of plastic window panel from "Lowe's" home improvement. Son-in-law spliced the 2 panel frames together with clear packing tape. He also added wood to the mounting hardware to modify the installation in a vinyl clad aluminium window. Looks good & rain doesn't leak in. Using/modifying the part/frame only took about 15 minutes. Installing the AC unit took Son-in-law & #2 Grandson about 2 hrs.
