Our water dispenser leaks 5-10 seconds after use. It drips once, then about a teaspoon-tablespoon of water pours out from the tube or around it. There's no dripping between uses. This is a newer issue, but we've been having other trouble for awhile. History: I just replaced the water inlet valve (got from you) and filter. It still drips. 5 months ago, i replaced the dispenser front panel (ps10060197 - got from you) because the paddle broke off. Breakage was due to ice building up around the top of the paddle. Replacing the front panel hasn't fixed the freezing problem. Before coming to you, we had a professional replace the whole dispenser unit for the same freezing/broken paddle issue. That repair only lasted a few months (freezing again) before the paddle broke after a year of gentle use.

Hello Cori, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model number you have provided and it is normal for a little water to drip out of the tube, but you may also want to get a bucket and purge the line for a few minutes in case of air the lines. To purge the line, use a container to depress the paddle for 5 seconds, release and repeat for 5 seconds and repeat until water begins to flow. Once water begins to flow constantly, alternate between holding the paddle for 5 seconds and releasing it for 5 seconds for approximately 2 minutes. We hope this helps.

In my specific appliance the water valve is located in the bottom right hand corner looking at it from the back. To get to it I remove the thin layer of cardboard the covers the back of the fridge. I then proceeded to disconnect the 1/4" copper tubing which is the water feed coming out of the wall. Then I removed the screws that hold the valve assembly in place. I took the water valve out and removed the electrical connections as well as the plastic tubing which feed the water dispenser and the ice maker. To install the new water valve it was just a matter of reversing steps.
