My oven, broil, and convection bake isn't heating up, when putting it on it will start at 100° and very slowly heat up put not to the acquired temp, i do hear a humming noise when started put will stop when i open the door. I'm looking at replacing the element to fix my problem, will this be the right way to go? Thank you

Hi Francine. To know for sure you would have to test the element with a multi-meter. That said this does sound like a faulty element the other likely possibility is the temperature sensor. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
Electric Convection oven is not getting up to default temp of 350 fast enough this is both for convection and bake selections. we have 4 models and 3 can do it in less than 10 min. At 15 min the poor one gets to around 150. The two things I did was change out were the the temperature sensor probe and the convection element around the fan as the original gave me a 40 ohms reading when put on a multimeter. What are I missing here? Does the broil element heat up too? I notice it doesn't glow red or get hot. But again, I figured that's just the broil function. I can hear the relays as it climbs in temp. Today I was able to get it to 200 but it took nearly 20 minutes.

Hi Stefan, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the continuity of the broil element, part number PS978285. If it is faulty, then replace it to solve the problem. Glad to be of help!
I called a repair place. They charged $54 to diagnose, (said it needed a new latch motor) then wanted $220 to complete the repair. I checked online prices and did it myself for about 15 minutes work and the latch motor itself ($44?).
Was necessary to uplug the range, pull it away from the wall and remove the back panel sheet metal, then 3 screws that mount the motor. Replace motor, reattach sheet metal. Plug in. Done. Ready to bake cookies.
I was selling my home and did not realize that the anti-tip bracket was not originally installed. A home inspection caught the problem and the buyers required that I install one. I could not find the original and obviously the installer never put it in place to begin with. The buyers wanted this resolved within a week so I had to act fast. I could not find one locally so I found what I needed on your website. It arrived in a couple of days and was easy to install. I used the template provided in the kit and drove the screws through the bracket into the wood plate behind the drywall. Pushed the range back in place and that's it. Couldn't get any easier.
