Looking to solve problem ... water is not spraying. it fills and drains just fine. stopped working a couple days ago. i replaced the circulation pump with a used one. still not working. with replacement pump, i hear a thumping sound and a small amount of spray shoots out the hole for the top rack (more than it was with the original pump). nothing is coming out of the spray arms on the bottom. ideas? thanks!
For model number FGID2466QF5A

Hello Sean, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the water feed tube and the spray arms themselves. If the spray arms are clogged they are unable to spin. If those are clear the issue could be with the turbidity sensor PartSelect Number: PS2363559 or pump and motor. I hope this helps.

When the circulation pump is running correctly, does it push water through the spray arm mount in spurts, or with a constant flow?
For model number FGID2466QF5A
PartSelect logo
Hello, Thank you for your question. The circulation pump usually allows water through the spray arms at a constant stream. We hope this helps.

What does a turbidity sensor do? Thanks!
For model number FGID2466QF5A
PartSelect logo
Hi Sean, thank you for your question. The turbidity sensor on your appliance is able to register the amount of debris floating inside of your water and helps signal the board on how long a wash cycle needs to be. Good luck with your repair.

The spray arm would fall off during the washing cycle.
Repair was simple. I unscrewed the old grommet which held the old spray arm and screwed-on the new one. About 30 seconds was required. Other people having this problem should note that the spray-arm is made of three pieces which are inseparable when the arm is new. The arm is sold in this form. However, when your machine is having the problem that the arm falls off, the three pieces become separate. When you want to replace the spray arm, only one new part needs to be ordered because this part encompases all three components.
