Hello Lysle, Thank you for the question. At the top of the door you can remove the hinge cover. Remove the two screws that hold the hinge to the cabinet and then pick up the door to remove from the bottom hinge. We hope this helps!

Freezer works good frig side warm power was out for 8 hours came back on and frig side didn’t work
For model number FFHS2611LBNA
PartSelect logo
Hi James, thank you for your question. If the refrigerator section is too warm, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. The part that fixes the issue the majority of the time is the defrost thermostat. From our website, the defrost thermostat is a safety thermostat in series with the defrost heater and is used to terminate the defrost cycle when the evaporator reaches a specific temperature, usually rated at 38° to 47° Fahrenheit. If the thermostat is defective and remains open circuit, then the defrost heater will not be energized and no defrosting will take place. You will need to test the part with a multimeter to see if it is working correctly. Before you do this, make sure that you have unplugged the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. Set your multi-meter to the Rx1 setting. Place each of the probes on a thermostat wire. When your thermostat is cold, it should produce a reading of zero on your multi-meter. If it is warm (anywhere from forty to ninety degrees Fahrenheit), then this test should produce a reading of infinity. If you do not receive this reading, it will need to be replaced. If it is working correctly, you will need to check the damper control assembly. This part balances the air between the refrigerator and freezer sections. If it is not working correctly, then this could prevent cold air from entering the refrigerator section. The housing that the baffle or damper is encased in is often made of plastic with a Styrofoam lining and may have a foam seal to prevent air leakage. Care should be used when inspecting the housing to avoid damage to the seal or the Styrofoam. Some refrigerator models use a temperature sensing bulb attached to this control that will automatically adjust the control for changes in the interior temperature. Make sure that the sensing bulb is in the correct position and is not damaged. Attempt to operate the control knob to verify that the linkage is intact and that it moves freely. If the damper/baffle is stuck in the closed or nearly closed position or does not move freely, then you will need to replace it. If this part is working correctly, you then need to check the run capacitor, the evaporator fan motor, the temperature sensor and the door gasket. We hope this helps!

I would like to know why the fridge freezes all my produce and which item should be bought to fix this problem.
For model number FFHS2611LBNA
PartSelect logo
Hello Leticia, thank you for the question. According to our research, two parts can cause your issue, the temperature sensor and defrost thermostat kit. The temperature sensor, part number PS1765215, monitors the air temperature and sends the temperature reading to the control board. The control board then regulates power to the compressor and evaporator fan based on the thermistor readings. The defrost thermostat, part number PS469522, monitors the temperature of the evaporator coils by controlling power to flow to the defrost heater during the defrost cycle. A faulty defrost thermostat may not allow voltage to reach the defrost heater, resulting in the evaporator coils frosting. We would recommend checking these parts to fix the issue. We hope this information helps!

How do I remove water filter that’s broken
For model number FFHS2611LBNA
PartSelect logo
Hello Rolanda, thank you for reaching out. The water filter is located at the top right side of the fresh food compartment. To replace the water filter, follow the following steps: 1. Turn off the ice maker. 2. Remove the filter by pushing on the end or face of the filter. 3. Slide the old water filter cartridge straight out of the housing and discard it. 4. Unpackage the new filter cartridge. Using the alignment guide, slide it gently into the filter housing until it stops against the snap-in connector at the back of the housing. 5. Push firmly until the cartridge snaps into place. 6. Press a drinking glass against the water dispenser while checking for any leaks at the filter housing. Any spurts and sputters that occur as the system purges air out of the dispenser system are normal. 7. After filling one glass of water, continue flushing the system for about four minutes. 8. Turn on the ice maker. 9. Press and hold the water filter button on the ice and water dispenser control panel for three seconds. When the display changes from "red" to "green," the status has been reset. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

water leaking out of refrigerator
In my specific appliance the water valve is located in the bottom right hand corner looking at it from the back. To get to it I remove the thin layer of cardboard the covers the back of the fridge. I then proceeded to disconnect the 1/4" copper tubing which is the water feed coming out of the wall. Then I removed the screws that hold the valve assembly in place. I took the water valve out and removed the electrical connections as well as the plastic tubing which feed the water dispenser and the ice maker. To install the new water valve it was just a matter of reversing steps.
