Each time the door was opened, the user interface showed an error C-5, before the freezer would shut off and the lights would go out. Closing the door would cause the unit to restart and run fine. Eventually everything stopped working all together. I replaced the user interface, but that did not help. I jostled the wiring harness under the unit and now the compressor runs, the inside cools and the lights work, but the user new and old interface units do not power up. I am thinking the cable from the main controller to the user interface is bad. Thoughts? Part Number for cable?

Hi Matthew, Thank you for your question. This error code is referring to a possible wiring issue between the user interface and the main power board. If you just replaced the user interface the issue is likely with the main control board or the wiring. If you require more information, you may need to reach out to the manufacturer. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call our customer service line. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!

Hello, Upright freezer model FFFH21F6QWB. Plugged in, power supply verified, freezer with no life at all. No lights on control panel. No sounds. We were in hurricane Lee, and there were a couple of power bumps along the way. I'm "guessing" the problem may be the main control panel (the power connects to the panel). Would very much appreciate your comments. Thank you, Don

replacement freezer keys
I accidently threw away both freezer keys to our upright Gibson and G.E. Freezers!!!! I had no luck finding replacements locally, so I got on the internet and came across PartSelect.com. I called them on the telephone; and after giving the model numbers of my freezers, the keys were on their way!! I received the keys very quickly and both worked perfectly. I would highly recommend Partselect.com. Charlotte M. Bishop

The freezer door wouldn't stay shut due to two irresponsible children.
We ordered the part, which was a key, tied it on the freezer door handle, locked the door and voila, the problem was fixed. (We still have the children. :-)
