Makita 4-cycle string trimmer (hardly used) not idling properly and then wouldn't start at all.
Repair shop said it wasn't worth fixing and offered to sell me a new one. Simply removed old spark plug which was easily accessible (as shown in instruction manual) and installed new plug. Trimmer came with a basic spark plug wrench, but used socket set for greater torque and much less effort. Trimmer now starts and runs perfectly for far less than the cost of a new one!!
