Hello Madree, Thank you for the question. This sounds like the Dispenser Module Board is defective and may need to be replaced. PartSelect Number PS3408797. We hope this helps.
The ice machine dispenses ice. The water does not work though for the water dispenser. I can hear water going into the fridge to cool it, but not coming out of the dispenser.

Hello James, Thank you for the question. If the water is making it through the Filter but not dispensing, we suggest Testing the switch in the Dispenser Module for continuity. Also check the Water Line going to the Dispenser to make sure it has not froze over and is blocking the water. We hope this helps!
Dispensing too much water and ice even after releasing the switch.

Hi Steven, thank you for your inquiry. The dispenser lever or switch may be stuck in the "pushed in" position. This is generally caused by residue build-up on the dispenser. Clean the dispenser lever to remove anything that may cause it to stick. Use warm water and mild detergent. Do not use water to wipe over the control panel. If the lock is not engaged, an internal component of the dispenser has failed. We recommend replacing the dispenser module, part number PS10060200. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
In my specific appliance the water valve is located in the bottom right hand corner looking at it from the back. To get to it I remove the thin layer of cardboard the covers the back of the fridge. I then proceeded to disconnect the 1/4" copper tubing which is the water feed coming out of the wall. Then I removed the screws that hold the valve assembly in place. I took the water valve out and removed the electrical connections as well as the plastic tubing which feed the water dispenser and the ice maker. To install the new water valve it was just a matter of reversing steps.
