The warm water side will keep adding water during cycle.
For model number CTW41N1AW

Hello Mike, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the hot water inlet valve is the likely cause because its internal solenoid has either failed or is stuck open due to mineral buildup. Replacing it might help fix the issue. The part number is PS18188504. We hope this helps!

In this model and make of clothes washers there's an arm that is controled by an electric solenoid that wraps around the shaft at the bottom of the gear assembly looks as if it is either a brake or a shiting arm on the bottom side of the machine and wraps about half way around the tun shaft. This lever or arm is broken on the washer but seems to have enough left to actuate what it is supposed to operate; however, the tub doesn't seem to spin as fast as it should because of the missing portion of tyhe arm.

Hello Michael, thank you for getting in touch. The part you are referring to is the retractor assembly, part number PS18188455. You will need to replace it to fix the issue. The missing portion of this arm prevents the clutch or brake mechanism from fully disengaging. As a result, the machine experiences partial drag on the tub during the spin cycle. This friction limits the spin RPM, leaving clothes excessively wet. We hope this helps.
